• Instruction

  Archives & Special Collections offers instruction and information for UNC students, faculty, and staff, including general instruction on locating and using materials, customized instruction and presentations, and tours.

• Community Engagement

  Archives & Special Collections staff are available for talks and presentations about our collections, preserving organizational records, and more! We also offer tours (monthly and by appointment) and a variety of exhibits.

• UNC History

  UNC has a rich history from its beginnings as the Colorado State Normal School in 1889. Explore resources on the evolution of UNC, including timelines on our presidents, buildings, institutional name changes, significant dates in school history, and more.

• Donating and Transferring Material

  Archives & Special Collections accepts donations and transfers of materials relating to our three distinct collecting areas:

  • University Archives
  • James A. Michener’s life and works, and
  • Special Collections

  from individuals and organizations in northeastern Colorado.
